
Alan Murdie, LL.B, Barrister is Chairman of the Ghost Club (founded 1862) and has been active in ghost hunting and psychical research for many years, with a particular emphasis on the search for proof of ghosts, poltergeists and the survival of consciousness after death and bodily dissolution. He continues to actively investigate current reports, old and new, both in Great Britain and abroad.
Alan writes, lectures and broadcasts extensively on paranormal topics. He is a council member of the Society for Psychical Research, a member of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research and the Churches Fellowship on Psychical and Spiritual Studies and legal adviser for the Folklore Society. He possesses extensive files on haunted locations in every part of the British Isles. Since 2006 he has written the monthly column, covering the latest thing in ghosts, for Fortean Times magazine.
